About the Role

You will manage a starting portfolio while proactively building new business through internal and external centres of influence (COIs). This is a true hunter‑style role where you’ll combine warm inbound activity with your own networking capability to drive portfolio growth.

You will receive several warm leads per week, supported by a collaborative team who assist with administration, deal workshopping and strategic guidance.

Extensive training is provided, making this an ideal step for someone with strong sales or home‑finance experience who wants to transition into a full mortgage lending role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage an initial portfolio of $50M–$100M and drive growth through proactive client engagement
• Respond to warm leads from branches and referral partners
• Build, nurture and expand a network of internal and external COIs
• Create and execute a territory sales plan to identify new lending opportunities
• Lead lending conversations to identify the best finance solutions
• Source, prepare, submit and settle loan applications across residential, personal and commercial lending
• Conduct detailed customer needs analyses and recommend appropriate lending solutions
• Manage the end‑to‑end loan writing process through to approval
• Support customers throughout their purchasing journey
• Review and analyse financials (personal, sole trader, partnership, company, trusts)
• Liaise with Head Office Credit Analysts on submissions and complex scenarios
• Maintain accurate customer profiles, CRM updates and pipeline management
• Provide regular updates to customers on loan progress
• Prepare weekly reports for the Director
• Represent the franchise professionally at networking events and partner meetings
• Promote the bank’s product range and service offering

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ sales experience
• Demonstrated success following structured sales processes
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills
• High‑level problem‑solving and critical‑thinking capability
• Experience in mortgage lending, real estate, or prestige sales highly regarded
• Banking or mortgage broking experience required for senior‑level applicants
• Credit Analyst experience is an advantage (not essential — full training provided)
• A proactive, hunter‑style mindset with strong commercial acumen

Two options (dependant on experience):

Remuneration – Junior Loan Writer (no direct loan writing experience necessary)

Target: $20M in Annual Settlements

• $75,000 – $85,000 + 12% Superannuation
• Clear salary progression aligned to portfolio growth
• Strong internal support and warm lead flow

Remuneration – Senior Loan Writer (must have proven finance lending experience)

Target: $30M in Annual Settlements

• $110,000 – $120,000 + 12% Superannuation
• Transparent progression pathway aligned to portfolio expansion
